Privacy policy

We collect what you send us when you ask about renting a site, so we can reply, and nothing else about you unless you allow analytics. We do not sell any of it.
This site is operated by SlidesVamp, LLC, 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States, trading as RankandRent HQ.
What we collect
- Your request. When you fill in the request form: your name, business name, email address, phone number, website if you give one, and what you tell us about the service you offer, your area, capacity, budget and timing.
- Where the request came from. The page you first landed on and the page you sent it from, the website that linked you here, and any campaign tags in the address (for example utm_source), for your first visit and your latest one. Your browser keeps these (see the cookie policy) and sends them only with a request, so we know which adverts and pages bring requests.
- What we say to each other afterwards. Emails and call notes about your request, kept with it.
- If you rent a site from us, the calls and quote requests it brings in are tracked and recorded so you can see them. That is covered in your rental agreement, not here.
Why we hold each thing, and on what basis
| What | Why | Lawful basis (UK/EU) | Kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your request and contact details | To answer it and, if you want, quote for a site | Steps at your request before a contract | 24 months after we last spoke, or on request |
| Where the request came from | To know which pages and adverts bring requests | Legitimate interests | 24 months |
| Emails and notes about your request | To pick up where we left off | Legitimate interests | 24 months after we last spoke |
| Server logs, IP address | Keeping the site up and stopping abuse | Legitimate interests | 30 days |
| Analytics identifier | Counting readers and which pages get used | Consent | 12 months, or until you withdraw |
Where the basis is legitimate interests, the interest is answering businesses that ask about our sites and knowing what brings them here. We have weighed it against the fact that none of this is sensitive, none of it is sold, and none of it is used to make decisions about you. You can object at any time using the address below.
Analytics, and your choice
Two different things run here, and they are worth telling apart.
A visit counter, always on. Every page loads a small script of our own. It reports the page you opened, how you arrived and the fact that somebody is reading, and nothing else. It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your machine. So that two readers can be told apart for one day, the server turns your address and browser string into a number that is thrown away and made afresh at midnight; it cannot be turned back into either. We run this on legitimate interests, the interest being knowing whether anyone reads what we publish. You can object using the address below.
Analytics, off until you allow it. PostHog and the Meta pixel are not added to the page, and no identifier that follows you between visits is created, unless you choose “Allow” on the cookie notice. Saying no changes nothing about how the site works. You can change your answer whenever you like from the cookie policy, and the full list of what is set is there too.
Automated decisions and profiling
There are none. Nothing here scores you, ranks you or decides anything about you automatically. A person reads every request.
What we do not collect
We do not take payment on this site, so we never see a card number. We do not buy personal data about you from anyone, and we do not sell or rent your information.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site and our replies work, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase - the database where your request is stored.
- Cloudflare - serving the site and receiving the form, and keeping both up.
- Resend - the service that sends us an email when a request arrives, and sends our replies.
- PostHog - analytics, so we can see which pages get used. Only with your permission.
- Meta - advertising measurement, so we can see which adverts bring people here. Only with your permission.
We do not share your information with anyone else, and nobody buys it from us. If we are ever legally compelled to hand something over, we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
International transfers
We are a United States company. Our services may store information in the United States or the European Union, so if you are elsewhere your information is transferred there. Where that transfer is from the UK or the EEA it relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the UK addendum to them, in our agreements with the services listed above.
Security
The site and the form are served over HTTPS. Access to the requests is limited to the people who answer them. We are a small company and we will not pretend to hold certifications we do not have. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and the relevant regulator within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it. We will not make you jump through hoops, and asking costs nothing.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to take it elsewhere in a portable form, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time without it affecting anything you have already done. Exercising any of them is free, and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are in California: we do not sell personal information. We do share it for advertising measurement, which the CCPA treats as sharing. To opt out, decline analytics or change your choice on the cookie page. We honour Global Privacy Control signals. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a right. If you are in the UK or the EEA and think we have got something wrong, please tell us first — but you are entitled to complain to your data protection authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with information you have already sent us, we will email you before it takes effect.
